Carnrike-Granata named Senior Director of Payments Strategy, Fraud & Business Resilience

Norwich, NY (September 8, 2026) — NBT Bank announced that Terra Carnrike-Granata has been named Senior Director of Payments Strategy, Fraud & Business Resilience.

In her new role, Carnrike-Granata is responsible for advancing a forward-looking payments strategy, strengthening fraud defenses, enhancing customer protection and ensuring the company remains resilient as technology, customer expectations and financial threats continue to evolve.

“Throughout her tenure, Terra has played a key role in advancing the company's information security, fraud prevention and business resilience programs while building strong partnerships across the organization,” said Shauna Hyle, Executive Vice President, Retail Community Banking. “Now, she will have additional opportunities to bring these insights to customers, support business development efforts and represent NBT as a thought leader on fraud and payment issues affecting the banking industry.”

Carnrike-Granata joined NBT in 2008 as Information Security Officer and has held a series of leadership positions with increasing responsibility, including Information Security & Fraud Risk Manager, Director of Information Security and, most recently, Senior Director of Information Security. She earned both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in criminal justice from SUNY Albany. She also holds a Security+ certification and is a Certified Third-Party Risk Management Professional. Active in the community, Carnrike-Granata serves as secretary of the R.C. Smith Foundation Board of Directors.
