NBT BANK RESUMES WALL OF ART PARTNERSHIP WITH CHENANGO ARTS COUNCIL

NORWICH, NY (OCTOBER 21, 2021) — NBT Bank has resumed its Wall of Art partnership with the Chenango Arts Council, which features local artists and their talents.

“We are proud to welcome back this popular feature to downtown Norwich location,” said NBT Retail Market Manager Brian Burton. “Customers and employees alike are enjoying a much brighter and more colorful view as they use our South Broad Street entrance.”

“Our Wall of Art partnership with NBT Bank is a wonderful way to showcase area artists,” said Chenango Arts Council Executive Director Alecia ONeill. “We have tremendous talent in our area. This partnership is one of many ways we share that talent with the community to be appreciated and hopefully to inspire others to discover their own creative abilities.”

Sarah Jean Youngs is the first artist to have her artwork on display. “I enjoy the nostalgia of traditional tattoos, heavy lines and bright colors. I am influenced by vintage posters and illustrations. I am drawn to tarot cards and their symbolism. My art is a visual diary of my fascinations,” said Youngs.

Youngs' work will be on display through the end of November when NBT Bank will welcome the illustrations of artist Henry Drexler to the Wall of Art.
