NBT Announces New Glastonbury Branch and Expanded West Hartford Presence

HARTFORD, CT (FEBRUARY 18, 2021) — NBT Bank Connecticut Regional President Andreas Kapetanopoulos announced that NBT’s growing Connecticut team will open a new office in Glastonbury and expand services by relocating to a larger location in West Hartford. “NBT has been serving the business and commercial needs of the Greater Hartford area for more than a year out of temporary office space in West Hartford center,” said Kapetanopoulos. “We are demonstrating our commitment to the region by establishing this new long-term presence from locations on both sides of the Connecticut River.”

NBT plans to open its new Glastonbury office, located at 2670 Main Street in the heart of the town’s central business district, during the second quarter pending regulatory approvals. The relocated West Hartford site is currently being finalized. Both locations will serve their community’s personal and business banking needs.

NBT’s senior leadership team in Connecticut also includes KateVan Valkenburg, Senior Commercial Banking Relationship Manager, Dale Stewart, Senior Commercial Banking Relationship Manager, and Maureen Kennedy, Senior Business Banking Officer. Additionally, John J. Patrick, Jr., Vice Chairman of NBT’s New England Advisory Board is also a part of the bank’s overall New England team with a focus on enhancing growth in Connecticut and neighboring states. NBT began to serve the New England region in 2009 with the opening of its Vermont Regional Headquarters in Burlington. Since then, the bank has expanded in the region through organic growth and acquisitions. About Andreas Kapetanopoulos

Over his 28-year banking career, Kapetanopoulos has built deep experience in many facets of the banking business, including commercial, small business, municipal and retail banking. His roots in Connecticut are deep, having worked in the greater Hartford area for 25 years. Prior to joining NBT, he was Senior Vice President of SBA and Small Business Lending for People’s United Bank. Kapetanopoulos earned his MBA and Bachelor of Arts from Boston University. Active in the community, he is serves on the Boards of the Farmington Bank Community Foundation, AHEPA National Housing Corporation Inc., and the Women’s Business Center affiliated with the University of Hartford’s Barney School of Business. Kapetanopoulos also serves as a Director and Loan Committee Chair for HEDCO, Inc.

About Steve Angeletti

Before joining NBT Bank, Angeletti served as Regional Vice President of Commercial Lending for TD Bank in the Southern Connecticut market. With more than 30 years of experience, he was responsible for the growth of small business and commercial lending in the Fairfield and New Haven areas. Angeletti earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Quinnipiac University, and an MBA in Finance from the University of New Haven. Angeletti resides in Wallingford where he remains active in the community serving on the Board of Directors for the New Haven Chamber of Commerce and its affiliate, the Quinnipiac Chamber of Commerce. He is also an Advisory Board member for the School of Business at Quinnipiac University.
