NBT BANK WELCOMES NEW MEMBERS TO GREATER HARTFORD TEAM

WEST HARTFORD, CT (October 10, 2023) – NBT Bank has welcomed Senior Commercial Banking Relationship Manager Dante Fazzina, New England Trust Executive Steven Essex and Senior Institutional Sales Consultant Steven Brandfield to its expanded Greater Hartford team.

At NBT, we are particularly looking forward to expanding our wealth management offerings for businesses and individuals with these strategic additions to our team.”

In August, NBT announced that it completed its merger with Salisbury Bank and Trust Company, adding 13 banking offices to the NBT franchise in complementary markets, including northwestern Connecticut, the Hudson Valley region of New York and southwestern Massachusetts.

Fazzina has more than 30 years of commercial banking experience, most recently serving as senior commercial relationship manager at Salisbury Bank. He is responsible for working directly with prospective and existing commercial clients to deliver comprehensive financial solutions that include lending, treasury management and more. Fazzina earned a bachelor’s degree from Central Connecticut State University and an MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Active in the community, he is board member for the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce and held past board positions with HEDCO and the Cherish the Children Foundation.

Essex has 30 years of experience, most recently serving as Head of Wealth Advisory Services at Salisbury Bank. In his new role, he is leading efforts to grow NBT’s trust and investment management business in New England and New York’s Hudson Valley. Essex earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut and is a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor as well as a Certified Financial Planner. Active in the community, he serves as a board member of the Salisbury Forum.

Brandfield has more than 30 years of experience in wealth management, most recently serving as Senior Wealth Director at Salisbury Bank. In his new role, he is responsible for delivering an advanced level of financial, retirement and institutional planning strategies to wealth management clientele. Brandfield earned a bachelor’s degree from Columbia University and an MBA in Finance from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Active in the community, he serves on the boards of the Cornwall Historical Society and Music Mountain in Falls Village.
