NBT BANK LEADERS ASSUME NEW RESPONSIBILITIES

NORWICH, NY (March 15, 2018) – NBT Bank President and Chief Executive Officer John H. Watt, Jr. announced that Thomas Sutton, David Theleman and Jennifer Telesky assumed new roles in Retail Banking, Credit Administration and Commercial Banking, respectively.

Thomas Sutton is now Director of Retail Banking. He has 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. Sutton started his career in NBT’s Management Development Program and advanced to positions of increasing responsibility in Retail Banking, including branch manager, market manager and territory manager. As Director of Retail Banking, Sutton is responsible for overseeing service and operations across NBT’s network of over 150 banking locations.

Sutton is a native of New Berlin. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Elon College and his MBA from Syracuse University’s Martin J. Whitman School of Management. An active volunteer and member of numerous boards, Sutton was recognized by Commerce Chenango in 2017 with the Commitment to Community Award.

David Theleman is now Chief Commercial Credit Officer. He has over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry and started his career in NBT’s Management Development Program. During his tenure with the bank, he worked as branch manager and then transitioned to Commercial Banking where he advanced to positions of increasing responsibility, most recently serving as regional commercial banking manager for NBT’s Southern Tier Region. As Chief Commercial Credit Officer, Theleman is responsible for overseeing commercial banking credit and policy for NBT Bank working with commercial bankers across the bank’s six-state footprint.

Theleman is a graduate of the University of Albany. He is active in the community and serves as board president of the Center Lisle Cemetery Association and a board member for the Crouse Community Center.

Jennifer Telesky is Southern Tier Regional Commercial Banking Manager. Telesky has over ten years of experience in the financial services industry. She joined NBT Bank in 2006 as a credit analyst and then participated in NBT’s Management Development Program. Upon completion of the program, she joined the Commercial Banking team and has advanced to positions of increasing responsibility over the last few years. In her newest role as Regional Commercial Banking Manager, Telesky is responsible for overseeing the activities of NBT’s commercial and business bankers in Chenango, Delaware, Greene and Otsego Counties.

A resident of Norwich, Telesky graduated from Siena College with a bachelor’s degree in Finance. She is a Leadership Chenango graduate and serves on the Development Chenango Corporation Finance Committee.
