The scholarships were presented at the bank’s annual Student Career Day held at NBT headquarters in Norwich, NY.
Eligibility for the scholarship awards is based on several factors, including job performance and completion of at least one year of summer employment with NBT Bank. Recipients this year were Rose Warner (Lawton, PA), who was awarded $2,500; and Emilee Barrett (Clarks Summit, PA), Christopher Brown (Norwich, NY), Christopher Jeffrey (Norwich, NY), Madison Kerr (Norwich, NY) and Alexis Llewellyn (Norwich, NY) who were each awarded $1,500.
“Our Summer Employment Program is an investment in the future of each of the students and in NBT’s success,” said Watt. “The college students who join our ranks each summer develop skills that will help them in their careers as they learn about the many parts of banking. We are honored to be able to support our student associates in funding their studies through this scholarship program.”
