NBT BANK PROMOTES BURTON, BRUNSCHMID

NORWICH, NY (February 27, 2020) – NBT Bank Director of Retail Banking Tom Sutton announced that Brian Burton was promoted to Market Manager of NBT’s Tri-Valley Market and Jackie Brunschmid was promoted to Branch Manager of bank’s three Norwich locations.

“Brian and Jackie have provided exemplary service and leadership to our local community for many years,” said Sutton. “They have proven track records in the community banking environment, always focusing on providing the best possible experience to their customers and branch team members.”

In addition to his responsibilities overseeing NBT’s branches in Afton, Bainbridge, Sidney, Deposit and Hancock, Burton will also serve as the Branch Manager of the Sidney Office. Burton has been with NBT for 18 years and has worked in the Oneonta Southside, New Berlin and Norwich branches. Brunschmid has served the Norwich community for more than 25 years, holding multiple roles and rising to Assistant Branch Manager prior to this promotion. In addition to managing NBT’s flagship location at 52 South Broad Street, Brunschmid will oversee both the North and South Plaza Norwich branches.

Within the local community, Burton serves as vice-chair for the Chenango County Industrial Development Agency, board president for the Norwich City School District, chairman of the City of Norwich Youth Bureau, president of Norwich Pop Warner, member of the Chenango County Chamber Finance Committee and co-founder of the "Take a Shot at Diabetes" fundraiser. Brunschmid serves as treasurer for Chenango County Catholic Charities, vice-president for the Oxford JV & Varsity Volleyball Boosters and as a member of the Oxford Academy Music & Arts Boosters.
