Great! What do I need to do?

A few important tasks must be completed to ensure a smooth transition to NBT Bank when the merger is closed. Below is a short list of action items and reminders of common banking services that are changing as a result of this merger. For complete details and actions, refer to the Personal Customer Checklists.

Verify Your Personal Contact Information
Before the merger, make sure your contact information with Evans Bank is up to date with your current information. Staying up to date ensures you receive all the essentials: debit cards, important information and any account updates!
Look for Personal Debit Card Mailings
You will receive two separate mail pieces about your new NBT Bank Personal Debit Card:
- Activation Instructions for your new card
- Your new NBT Bank Debit Card
Activate and access NBT Digital Banking (Online and Mobile Banking)
Any time after the merger, complete these steps:
1. Sign in to NBT Digital Banking (with your Evans username and password)
2. Enter your information
3. Receive and enter a one-time PIN
4. Set a new password to use for future logins

Start using NBT Personal Checks, Withdrawal and Deposit Slips
After the merger, you will have to use NBT withdrawal and deposit slips. Not to worry—these will be provided in all branch locations! Yes, it’s okay to use up your existing Evans checks—just be sure to switch to NBT Personal Checks on your next reorder.
Enroll in Telephone Banking
NBT Bank’s Telephone Banking service provides 24/7 access to your bank account information. If you’re using this service, set it up with a few steps:
- Call 1.800.628.2265, select option 2
- Follow the prompts
Please read the Personal Disclosures and Overdraft Opt-In Form
If you didn’t sign up for Overdraft protection with Evans Bank but want to take advantage of this service with NBT, you must sign and return the Opt-In form. If you have overdraft protection through Evans Bank, this will continue with your NBT account.
